We are looking for an experienced and resilient Human Resources professional who will be responsible for pro-actively partnering with the functional areas of Customer Service and Ground Operations across Sydney, to assist them in achieving their directions, objectives and all people aspects of the business plan.? You will do this by enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness through the application of HR strategy, policies and tools.

Reporting to the People Manager Customer Service & Ground Operations, key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Consult to and coach the client base in the full range of HR matters including but not limited to; disciplinary processes, absenteeism management, investigations, grievance management, assistance in volume and internal recruitment, culture enhancement strategies and ER issue resolution;
  • Respond to issues that are escalated to third parties such as Fair Work Australia (FWA) (e.g. Unfair Dismissals) or unions and other issues relating to Employee Relations;
  • Provide management with advice and strategic support in executing strategies to drive staff engagement;
  • Work with the Manager Crew Base & Airports Manager to ensure talent development and retention processes are in place and actioned;
  • Supporting? projects and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in People policies, processes & procedures;
  • Support Line Managers with the people aspects of the injury management process and Return to Work planning.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Experience in business partnership roles, demonstrating individual competence, growth, and advancement in the profession;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline e.g. Business;
  • Experience working in fast paced, transactional and complex environment;
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and current OHS legislation knowledge;
  • A high level of competency in negotiation and stakeholder management;
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, communication, and influencing skills;
  • The ability to think commercially,? build credibility and embrace change;
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills
